Task 2 – Planet defence

Rocket Launcher

Rocket Launcher

To protect your resources from enemy pillagers, you should think about the expansion of your defence facilities early on. You can, for example, read up about what you need to build a rocket launcher in the rocket launcher techtree. You need deuterium to expand your defence facilities. Hence you should establish a basic production of this resource first.

  • Solar power plants are the cheapest energy sources. Make sure there is an adequate energy supply available.
  • If you should get into energy problems, then you can reduce the energy consumption of facilities under the resource settings option to shut down the production of less needed resources

Task 4 – The first ship

Transporter

Transporter

Ships as well as rocket launchers can protect you from opponents. They have the advantage that they can additionally be used for offensive purposes. However, ships and modern defence facilities have to be researched first. You will need a research lab to do that.

Top of Form

Tasks:

  • Build a research laboratory with level 1
  • Build a small cargo
  • Research the combustion drive on level 2

Bottom of Form

Reward: 200 Deuterium

  • You can find the research lab in the defence facility menu.
  • Look at the techtree of the small transporter in the shipyard.
  • On the techtree you will see that you need to know about the combustion drive before you can build a transporter.
  • As soon as the construction of the research lab is finished, research energy technology on level 1.
  • Subsequently you should research the combustion drive on level 2.
  • When you have finished your research, build a small transporter in your shipyard.

Task 5 – Information networks

Ogame Information networks

Ogame Information networks

You are not alone in the universe! Information- and contact networks are very important. Those who socialise can rely on help from other players and can find trading partners more easily. A lot of players organise themselves in alliances to reach their targets together.

Top of Form

Tasks:

  • Rename a planet
  • Visit the forum and copy the forum URL into this window:
  • Create a buddy request
  • Become a member of an alliance with more than 3 members

Bottom of Form

Reward: 2,500 units of Dark Matter (are needed for the next step of the tutorial)

  • In the overview menu you can rename your planet.
  • You can find the link to the forum in the footer. Click on it to visit the forum.
  • You find the URL, that you have to enter above, in the input winow in the upper area of your browser.
  • If you have signed yourself up to OGame with a friend, use the search function in the header and look for his or her nickname. Subsequently click on the buddy symbol and send a buddy request. If you do not know anyone in your universe, just send a request to your neighbour. Visiting foreign solar systems costs 10 deuterium.
  • To become a member of an alliance you can found your own one with your friends or apply to a different one. You can found an alliance in the menu item `network`. If you want to apply to another alliance, then select your desired alliance and click on the application symbol.

Task 6 – Trader

Ogame Transporter

Ogame Transporter

The merchant is a so-called premium feature with which you can swap a resource via a system configured exchange rate for other resources. The maximum possible swap is restricted to the amount of your resources and the maximum load of your storage capacity.

Top of Form

Tasks:

  • Build a resource storage of your choice on level 1
  • Make use of the trader`s services (costs 2,500 dark matter)

Bottom of Form

Expeditions technik

The universe is an endless ocean of space. Time and time again, researchers attempt to explore unknown territories and come across opponents, abnormalities and new resource sources. A respected emperor like you should allow yourself this luxury too and send some brave researches on expeditions. Simple espionage probes do not have a sufficient range and deliver inaccurate data.

Top of Form

Tasks:

  • Go on an expedition

Bottom of Form

Reward: 2 heavy fighters, 5 small cargoes

  • Research astrophysics in the research menu on level 1
  • Fly to a system at position 16 or start an expedition via the galaxy view with the button `Expedition`.

Expanding your Ogame empire

An emperor is always anxious to expand his empire. You have already laid the foundations for this on your home planet, but at some point it will be completely expanded. Develop new planets early on, to get hold of resources more quickly and to get hold of new building spaces. Through flexible air traffic between the planets, you also have a powerful device to protect your resources from enemy attacks.

Top of Form

Tasks:

  • Found a colony

Bottom of Form

Reward: Commander for three days

  • Build a colony ship
  • Choose an empty, appropriate position on the galaxy view and send the ship there.
  • It is always a good idea to send a few resources along with the colony ship.

Task 10 – Debris field

Debris field

Tasks:

  • Dismantle a debris field

Bottom of Form

Reward: 1 recycler

  • Build a recycler in the shipyard.
  • Select a debris field in the galaxy view.
